Gatewood Park and Reservoir is 400 scenic acres nestled in the heart of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia. The park is owned by The Town of Pulaski. The park features crystal emerald water, active wildlife, and the majestic beauty of the surrounding mountain peaks. Enjoy everything from camping and picnicking to fishing and boating at the park. It is accesible from Interstates 81 and 77 and offers many exciting recreational opportunities for the entire family.

Claytor Lake Online Welcome to Claytor Lake Online! You will find information on the State Park, Activities, Boating, Fishing, Watersports, and Real Estate....all pertaining to Claytor Lake! Basic Information Claytor Lake is in Pulaski County, Virginia is a 4,500 acre (18 km²), 21 mile (34 km) long man made lake on the New River created for a hydroelectric project of Appalachian Power Company. Located in Claytor Lake State Park, it is named for W. Graham Claytor (1886-1971) of Roanoke, Virginia, a vice president of Appalachian Power who had supervised construction of the dam and creation of the lake in 1939.

Claytor Lake State Park Located on the 4,500-acre, 21-mile long Claytor Lake (from which the park was named) in the New River Valley of southwestern Virginia, Claytor Lake State Park offers a wide variety of activities for water and land enthusiasts. Easily accessible from Interstate 81, the park offers miles of hiking trails, swimming, camping, cabins and a visitor center. The visitor center is located in the historic Howe House. The lake and the park are named after Graham Claytor (1886-1971), who was vice president of Appalachian Power and supervised construction of the dam.

PulaskiFest Pulaski Fest is a family friendly, fun-filled day featuring the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, the Virginia Highlands Pipes and Drums band, live music, local vendors, local authors, Farmers Market, Flea Market, historic walking tour, free health clinic, a motorcycle charity show and ride, and much more.

The Pride of Pulaski County Randolph Park is located in Pulaski County on 87 acres of land that was generously donated by a lifelong resident of the community, Ms. Evelyn Alexander. Randolph Park was named in honor of Ms. Alexander's parents, Randolph Alexander and Annie Crawgy Alexander. The County of Pulaski began construction of this six million dollar state-of-the-art outdoor recreational facility in the fall of 2000. Funding for the park came from Pulaski County, fund-raisers, and donations.
